Child/Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy

Child / Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy – Swimming Lessons

AQuality Life Centre Swimming Teachers must be aware of the Child/Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy before commencing employment with AQLC.

Swimming teachers, lifeguards, poolside helpers, apprentices and volunteers can only work with the AQuality Life Centre (AQLC) if they are fully qualified by the Swimming Teacher Association (STA) or the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA). These nationally recognised swimming organisations have their own Child/Vulnerable Adult Protection course built in to their swimming teacher etc. syllabus.

Also a police check called DBS (old name CRB) is required. This eliminates the chance of inappropriate people getting into our organisation and near to the children-vulnerable adults.

Each pool provider has their own Child/Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy which they need to provide to  Peter Vörös T/A AQLC, who will make this accessible to his AQLC team to read.

The AQLC uses the STA Incident Report format which needs to be passed on to Peter Vörös, the Child Protection Officer who will post it to the STA. In case of an incident involving Peter Vörös himself, employees have the right to post the incident report themselves directly to the STA.
